nice but....

The canopy was beautiful when I put it up in May.I now wish that I had ordered the beige one because now it's August and the blue top has faded from the sun.The waterproofing is still holding up well. It's been great to protect us from bugs and the frame has held up well in strong winds. I will probably contact the company to see if I can purchase a new top.I am glad I bought this item I just wish I had picked the lighter color.More detail ...

works great if you take caution

I needed a canpoy quick and was enticed by the extremely low price. I read all the reviews on the similar canopies and was a little discouraged by the negative reviews. Ultimately I calculated that buying it was still cheaper than renting so I took a chance. I was amazed at how quickly it arrived: overnight! Impressive considering the shipping was FREE!!! As for the canopy itself it is really a 3-4 person operation despite what the instructions say about 2 people being able to open it. The frame itself is not as sturdy as the more expensive models but if you have enough people to help you it is very easy to set up. The instructions are EXPLICIT about not setting it up or leaving it open in windy/rainy weather. Many of the negative reviews I read concerned the canopy's inability to weather a storm. Well it clearly says it is not designed to do so. Putting it away was a snap and it comes with a cover/bag. I recommend this canopy but only if you are willing to treat it with caution. 12x15 party tent

I buy this same tent every year the ONLY one that looks great and has lots of room. The only problem is that it is NOT waterproof and the D-ring material rots fastbut I do keep it up an entire summer in wind and rain on a platform I built. Don't know what I'd do if this style was discontinued - probably make exact tent from marine fabric!Hate the ones that look like camping gear.More detail ...

So far so good

Put the canopy up the day before a big storm hit in Southern California and it held through the storm. So far so good. It looks very nice - better than the $80 ones we had purchased previously. It does pool water in two places when it rains - have to dump it out to protect the tent. The only thing I didn't like was the shipping charge - added to the cost of the item quite a bit.More detail ...

This canopy has very strong legs but the inner metal work easily bends rendering the canopy virtually useless. The first strong gust of wind and it was over. Yes it had been staked and weighted the legs were fine.More detail ...
